Pick of the Week - December 20, 2010

With the holiday season here I based this weeks pick based on my favorite holiday, New Year's Eve.  I've got a few pictures that go along with this pick but I've also added instructions and links to the websites for production!

You can always make (or buy) fortune cookies to celebrate the new year.  Above are fortune cookies that have been dipped in chocolate and then decorated.  The two links below are for a recipe to make fortune cookies as well as a variety of fortune cookie sayings.

I saw this picture and just fell in love.  What a great way to show case your holiday party favors!  The homemade fortune cookie is wrapped and then adorned with a gold star.

Last, but not least, if you're not cooking inclined perhaps making them from paper is more your style.  These are great because you can customize the paper to fit your guests or just the holiday itself.  Follow the link below for a step-by-step tutorial on how to make these.
